The perfect Christmas tree is the first step towards a perfect Christmas

The Christmas tree is a much loved festive symbol which originated in early modern Germany, although some believe it dates back as far as the 15th century. It was traditionally decorated with food, such as apples and nuts, and later on began to be illuminated with candles.

Nowadays, Christmas trees are a festive fashion statement. So much so that even top fashion designers, such as Gaultier, Dior and Chanel have designed their own trees for charity. Decorations range from the 'traditionals' like baubles and candy canes, to the wackiest lights and most eccentric figures imaginable. The Christmas tree is the most personal of all Christmas decorations, and has the power to bring a family together, whether it's when decorating the tree, or on Christmas morning when everybody gathers around it to open presents, so it is important that your home has a tree that reflects you and your family.

However, these days Christmas is an extremely busy and stressful time of year for many people, and decorating a Christmas tree can be the last thing on your mind, especially if the tree is for an office or workplace. This is where pre-decorated Christmas trees come in. Buying a ready-made tree can save you both money and time, so that you can focus on the more important things like spending time with family and friends.

Buying decorated Christmas trees may feel like cheating, but the great part is that even though you haven't designed it yourself, somebody else has with all the love and care you would have given, but with the skill and expertise of a professional. Some companies give the option to add decorations of your choosing, so once you have chosen your favourite tree out of the extensive ranges available, you can still perfect it with that personal touch.
